Diamant F1-LTD : The Worlds Lightest Production Fatbike ?
Diamant Bicycles from Norway know what they’re doing, they have been making bicycles since 1908 and independently from the US fat bike scene have quietly pushed the limits of fatbikes in Norway.
The company motto ‘Diamant – The Lightweight choice!’
is completely affirmed with the launch of the new top of the range all carbon Diamant F1-LTD fat bike (This model is sold in Norway as the BigBob LTD).
The limited edition Diamant F1- LTD Fat Bike is one of the worlds lightest production fat bikes at sub-9kg stock (Medium size = 8.7kg), if not the lightest production fatbike.
This bike includes a tubeless kit for lower rolling resistance and the lowest weight. No costly aftermarket additions, with its C4 carbon rims, American Classic hubs, XX1 , Formula R1 brakes and more carbon than an F1 car this bike comes complete at race weight from day 1.
The focus of the Norwegian Diamant brand is on functional lightweight design Diamant fatbike designers aim for maximum flotation on snow, which is reflected in the bikes geometry, which by coincidence happens to work great on Australian or New Zealand sand! The rest of the Diamant Mammut fat bike range comes with Carbon or butted Alloy frames to save weight and some of the widest rim and tyre combinations on the market to achieve flotation and improved handling in soft conditions.
Diamant bikes are available downunder at select bike shops, on-line at www.fatbike.com.au and wholesale via Outdoors International Pty Ltd.
